So we have established that dogs love to use their nose! Here is another really easy game to play to get your dog’s senses going. Not only will your dog be rewarded for seeking out the tasty morsels, it’s also a great boredom buster to play to break up the day. This game can also be played as part of your walk as a lovely ‘cool down’ after more strenuous activity.
You can use treats or just your dog’s usual food. What’s more, this game can be played with all ages of dog. My old Yogi now can’t walk too far due to his age but he loves this game on a walk. We do this almost daily to provide a little more enrichment to his day now that he can’t really run around. His legs might not work so well anymore but his nose certainly does!
