Adem Fehmi - about me
I have been training and working with dogs for over 14 years. My interest and
fascination with dogs started as a young child, studying, observing, working and
living with these amazing creatures.
My first dog was what I considered to be a badly behaved little terrier.  I now know
that it was me being a bad owner that caused the terrier to have behavioural
problems.  This dog went on to become my best and closest friend for 17 years.
At the age of 14, I started working at a boarding kennels.  It was whilst working here
that I was fortunate enough to experience a huge range of canine characters and
behaviours.  I started at the kennels as a dog lover and came out not only loving
dogs more but also understanding dogs and the importance of showing them how to
live in captivity.
Over the years I have spent many hours working with all types of dogs and realise
just how enjoyable and what fun they can be.
My areas of training cover working with dogs within many different canine disciplines
such as obedience, agility, rescue dogs, training for the shooting field and my
specialist area of canine behaviour.
I have demonstrated on several occasions on behalf of the Kennel Club as a
behaviourist both at Crufts and the CLA game fair.
Each individual case of dog and owner that I see brings me a new and exciting
challenge.  I try to teach people to understand their dogs as this is my specialist
area, as well as teaching dogs using simple and kind methods and certain exercises
which help to eliminate unwanted behaviour.
